 and Other Control Options \n \nUpon completion of this course\, you should
  be able to:  \n\n Define basic terms and technical concepts integral to 
 the practice of industrial hygiene.  \n Explain how the practice of indus
 trial hygiene fits within an environmental health and safety (EH&S) progra
 m  \n Explain the differences between chemical (gases/vapors\, dusts/mist
 s/fumes)\, physical\, and biological agents in the workplace.  \n Identif
 y occupational health hazards that may exist in the workplace including er
 gonomic\, chemical\, biological\, radiological and physical hazards\n Cal
 culate time-weighted averages.  \n Convert between various units of expos
 ure (for example\, mg/m3 to ppm).  \n Calculate and interpret noise expos
 ures and doses.  \n Identify the basic concepts of workplace exposure ass
 essment.  \n Describe the hierarchy of controls and how it applies to haz
 ard control.  \n Integrate various concepts into a broader occupational/ 
 environmental health and explain the management of issues from the perspec
 tives of anticipation\, recognition\, evaluation\, and control. \n \nFour
