This course is designed for occupational environmental, health, and safety management personnel who have industrial hygiene responsibilities. The course provides the participant the ability to recognize basic industrial hygiene principles and practices, identify characteristics of common air contaminants, locate PELs, and perform basic industrial hygiene. It consists of four modules:
► Module 1: Introduction - Introduction to Industrial Hygiene and Industrial Hygiene Concepts
► Module 2: Anticipation and Recognition – Particulate Matter, Silica, Gases and Vapors, Noise
► Module 3: Evaluation - Exposure Assessment Concepts, Air Sampling for Particulate Matter, Air Sampling for Gases and Vapors
► Module 4: Control - Hierarchy of Controls, Principles of Ventilation, Personal Protective Equipment and Other Control Options
