Who We Are

The Safety Council of Northwest Ohio

Making Northwest Ohio a Safer Place to Live & Work

The Safety Council of Northwest Ohio (SCNWO) was incorporated in 1960 as a not-for- profit, non-governmental, community based resource. The Safety Council’s goal is to provide high quality customized safety, health and environmental services designed to improve the quality of life.

As a charter member of the American Association of Safety Councils, an international organization comprised of Safety Councils from across the United States and Canada that works toward educating, communicating, and promoting health & safety measures, we offer information and resources to help members build and support their safety initiatives on the job, on the road, and in the community.

We serve Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Seneca, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood Counties.

Members have immediate access to comprehensive and up-to-date safety education, information, products, publications, written safety programs and consulting services.

Our Board and Staff are committed to promoting safety throughout Northwest Ohio. Since 1960, our organization has helped Northwest Ohio Business and Residents avoid accidents and injury, take sound safety precautions, and maintain personal health.

Our network of programs and services enhance the way your business operates. We help you save money, create a safe workplace and manage an efficient operation.
